I can't believe the last time I blogged was Mother's Day! Wow, things changed since then. I'm not sure where to begin...but I'll try my best to fill in the last few months.
In July we found out Dan got a new assignment and we were moving to the Netherlands! This was a huge shock to us considering we were told they had put in paperwork to keep him at Malmstrom AFB for at least 18 more months. With this news came a laundry list of things to get done.
We had bought a new travel trailer before we knew we were moving :)

During July and August we tried to spend as much time with friends as we could, get ourselves emotionally, mentally and physically ready for September and the whirl wind of tasks that were coming up.
Dan's best friend, Timmy, came to visit in July for a week long camping and fly fishing trip. Tanner and I went with them for the first weekend Timmy was in town and then the guys were on their own!

It's awesome to have such good friends. We can't wait for Timmy and Melissa to come visit us in the Netherlands!
September brought on our big move and Tanner turned 1. Grammy and Grampy Foster had already planned on coming to Montana for Tanner's first birthday which aslo happened to be the week that our house would get packed up. We had a little picnic birthday party for Tanner with some of his buddies at Giant Springs State park by our house. It turned out to be a beautiful day. We are so thankful for the wonderful friends we made in Montana.

The movers came to pack our house on 14 September which is Tanner's actual birthday. So the 14th started the real whirlwind of chaos! The packers packed our entire house on the 14th and the items going to long term storage were packed, crated and shipped all in one day. The rest of our stuff would be crated on 17th so we had the whole weekend to live in our house with everything packed but our TV, couches, kitchen table and beds.

We are so thankful Grammy and Grampy were there to help us. There was no way we could have gotten everything done without them. We moved into the TLF (hotel on base) on the 17th and Grammy was so nice to stay for an extra week to help out with Tanner and to fly home with us so we didn't have to endure 4 days in a car with Tanner! We went to one last play date and then we left to spend the next 7 weeks in Texas. We sure had a great time with all of friends in Montana and hopefully we get to see you again one day soon!

We made it to Texas on 20 September! We spent a ton of time with our family since we knew it was going to be a while before we could see them again. Dan had training at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX for the month of October and then we started our new adventure in the Netherlands on 9 Nov. Here are a few pictures from our Texas trip. It was great spending time with our family and we miss you very much!

After a fun filled 7 weeks in Texas we were off for the Netherlands. Thank you to all our family and friends that we got to see. It's really hard sometimes to be so far away. I love the memories that we made while we were there and will always cherish our time with our family.
